Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American actor, singer, and model. Kotero was the female lead performer in Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. The group was just one of the female performers who gained of Prince's involvement in the 1980s. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as a model and actress. in the latter half of the 1970s, she appeared on CHiPS. She then replaced Vanity from the female trio Vanity 6 who performed in the film alongside Apollonia 6 under their name. After appearing in minor films (and reportedly refusing to participate in her role in the Purple Rain film Under the Cherry Moon) She was cast in the 1985-1986 nighttime drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia released her first album in 1988, but it was not a great mix of dance and R&B music which did not draw attention from the audience. It quickly vanished out of sight. In the years following, she continued to work as an actress (if somewhat under the radar), with minor television roles, films as well as an exercise video.
