Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is an American actor and producer who has performed in theatre and TV and films as well, is active across both sides of the screen. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in several TV shows and independent as well as mainstream films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also received a host of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her career began as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include The Broadway performance of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In her television work, she has been praised for her part as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
